NHS GREATER GLASGOW & CLYDE Queen Elizabeth University Hospital / West Glasgow ACL Clinical Vascular Scientist – 1yr Fixed Term Post BAND 7 (0.75wte) Reference: 110352 The Vascular Lab in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Vascular Scientist. This post is available as a one-year fixed term appointment in the first instance to support the implementation of a new patient pathway for the treatment of venous leg ulcers. The vascular lab comprises a small team of vascular scientists providing highly specialised diagnostic services (ultrasound, pressure measurements) to vascular surgery. We see a mixture of inpatients and outpatients across our two sites at QEUH and West ACH and play a key role in the pathway of vascular surgery patients. Our team provides the full range of vascular lab services as well as providing support for ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy treatments, urgent access vascular surgery clinics and one-stop multi-disciplinary venous ulcer clinics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced clinical vascular scientist to join our team. You will play a vital role in the provision of our service will be involved in all aspects of service delivery. For this key role, we are looking for a fully qualified Clinical Vascular Scientist who has achieved Accredited Vascular Scientist (AVS) status via the Society of Vascular Technologists. Applicants who meet some but not all of the essential criteria (e.g., are currently working towards SVT accreditation or an MSc qualification) may be considered for appointment at a lower grade.
