Closing Date

Salary
42-48k PLUS 6-9K bonus
Duration
12 months with the potential to become a permanent member of the team
We are a long established small, friendly independent team of experienced vascular scientists. We have been providing specialised vascular ultrasound services to London’s private hospitals for over 20 years. We are looking for an individual to join us - either on a full-time or part-time basis - for up to 1 year to cover a colleague’s maternity leave but with the potential opportunity to become a permanent member of our team thereafter. We offer excellent hours, a decent salary (£42,000-48,000 commensurate with experience), bonus (additional average £6000 - £9000), & holiday package (35 days a year incl. 8 public holidays or in line with existing NHS allowance if greater). Benefits include 6% of salary pension contribution plus private health cover. Are you like us – a friendly, flexible, motivated, and experienced clinical vascular scientist? Would you be interested in working with us in central London? If so, expect a 4-day week (even for full-timers), some early evening and weekend out-of-hours on-call work, on a rota with additional pay. One of the real attractions of this position is the excellent vascular ultrasound experience it offers in some of London’s premier private hospitals/clinics. Our service currently covers five hospitals in London, most of which have ITU facilities. We carry out the full range of routine and urgent examinations including venous and arterial lower limb, carotid arteries, upper limb and fistula scans. There is also an option to undertake some endo-venous ablation guidance in theatres. Applicants should be cheerful, self-motivated, and flexible, happy to work alone or in a team. The person should have experience in managing their time and workload effiicently, and respond well to the variable daily pressures of a vascular laboratory within busy hospitals. Smart appearance and flexible working attitude are a pre-requisite. In addition to the above, applicants should possess reasonable IT skills and be comfortable with the use of Word, Excel, and vascular reporting packages. We require the applicant to be a fully accredited member of the SVT (or equivalent). Applicants are expected to have a minimum of 3-4 years’ full-time vascular ultrasound experience and be able to perform the full range of vascular tests.
